Circa 1898 hand painted dessert plate decorated with pink and yellow roses. Made by Tresseman & Vogt in Limoges, France. The five piece set is signed by the painter, "E.G. '98." Many French porcelain companies made white blanks which were shipped to America. The ability to paint porcelain was considered an accomplishment for a proper middle or upper class young woman.
