Segment One
Presenting fashions from 1865 through 1882. These outfits would have been worn for attending dinner parties, balls, and afternoon tea. We'll take you through the layers of clothing worn beneath the fashions. Includes a special visit by a lady cautioning you against the demon liquor!

Segment Two
Presenting fashions depicting the years 1883 to 1899. Experience a day of shopping, riding, and bicycling, then come along for an evening of parties and the Can Can. Special appearance by a famous "Sarah", and Lady Birdwell discusses a day in the life of a Victorian Lady.

Admission: FREE to FBM members and children under 12 years of age. $5.00 for non-members.

Mr. Sitton will be speaking on the role of pioneer, Phineas Banning and his descendants in the rise of this region based on "Grand Ventures: The Banning Family and the Shaping of Southern California". He will primarily focus on the second generation and their ownership of Santa Catalina Island from 1892 to 1919. Lecture followed by book signing.

Phineas Banning Birthday Concert

Our 4th Annual Phineas Banning Birthday Concert celebration commemorates the birthday of Phineas Banning, who played a key role in developing the world-renowned Port of Los Angeles. For this year's celebration we welcome back The Fabulous Esquires Big Band, a 17 piece swing band with two vocalists who will perform on the historic front porch of the Museum. VIP Event Tickets are $75.00 and include reserved seating, gated parking, dinner, beverages, dessert, concert and dancing. Picnic Event Tickets are $25.00.
