The Gothic Style gong in the Dining Room of the Banning Museum belonged to Katharine Banning, Joseph Brent Banning's wife.

Late 19th century steer horn chair upholstered in cow hide. 40 horns Were used to make
the arms, legs, backrest and seat support. The land around the Banning mansion was
once a ranch, and to Phineas Banning's sons a chair such as this would have been a symbol
of the vanishing west.
